    Hallo,

    New Year, New Questions!


    1) I am trying to show the little icons for starting a conversation , user website and the birthday in the Side panel. Like this:

    I have the Personal Box Plugin but not sure if that is the one to achieve this


    2) How can I change the color of the user mark (Verified) like it is on here.

    Mine remains a "bleh" greyish color

    Hallo,

    Thank you for this great little plug-in. :love:

    The lack of distinct and clear delineation between a post and the signature was maddening to me.

    I installed the 6.0 version of Signature New and it works great on desktop, but I cannot see it on mobile.

    I have the Mobile option turned on, and the option in the User Profile to Show Signatures is also turned on.


    Is there something I may be missing

  • My Mood Icon Not Displaying

    Now holidays are over, I'm just getting around to looking at this issue again, and wanted to give an update on it.

    Thank you tunhj1 for the tip about the xml file. Unfortunately I could not find the XML file (probably not looking in the proper place) but while exploring the issue here is what I noticed :


    The learning / working icon was not the only one not being displayed. The only icon that displayed correctly was the "Cool" option


    On the Front End on the forum in the User Profile Panel the options listed are:

    On the server in the directory icon ->image ->mood the contents there showed these files

    Using the "Inspect Option" in Firefox Browser, looked at the path to the image for each icon.


    The file names were in English - so far so good.

    However for the learning / working option it showed this: <img src="https://*******.com//icon/mood/learning / working.png" title="learning / working">

    I think the format of the file name may be the issue for the learning / working option.

    But for the other images it seemed to be a language / localisation issue


    Since I could not locate the XML file I tried this instead:

    Downloaded the Images found on the server that had German file names and Using Google Translate to match the names on the server, renamed each of them based on the names shown in the <img src> path


    Once this was done all the icons displayed correctly except the learning / working option.

    Updated to New version

    Now when the "About Me" Tab is clicked it shows this



    User has not been back online since we noticed the error and has not completed their profile to include Country Flag or Birthday so have not been able to test if that would clear up the problem

    My forum does not crash but I get an error that I think may be related to what tunhj1 is experiencing.

    The Error Log message is almost identical

    However, the error does NOT occur when clicking on the Newest Member name on the Statistics Line

    But when I click on the ABOUT ME Tab in the member's user profile Control Panel, It throws the error and shows a "popup" screen that says this:



    Will ask the user to add a Country flag to his profile and see if it fixes the issue.

  • Marketplace - Shop - Classified Solution?

    Hallo,

    Would like to include a Marketplace for my community that isn't just a product /consumer goods shop.

    We help displaced persons and at risk youth connect with employers or people who are willing to hire them or with whom they can get freelance gigs with.

    So the marketplace should be able to have classifieds that would list career opportunities.


    Have looked at many shops on many forums but haven't seen something like that implemented.


    Any Ideas of plugins that may work or can be modified?

  • Page Comments (Nested Replies)

    Hallo,

    I wanted to use a a basic page with Page Comments as my "landing page"

    The idea is to have a landing page where users can write a quick post, include an image, use smileys, giphys etc and allow fellow users respond to them (just like we do in a forum thread)


    So I created a page without any content and added the Box "Page Comments"

    So far so good... Users can comment no problem...


    However the problem is the way it seems Page Comments are set up in WSC - If someone "(User A") writes a comment and then another person ("User B") replies to User A's comment another user for example ("User C") cannot reply to User B's comment but only to the Original comment made by User A

    Is there anyway to fix /get around that?


    Or is there a better option (maybe a plugin) to accomplish what I'd like to do with a Landing page like this?
